The problem:

Anna goes to her friend Mara’s house, on a wintry evening only to find her dead. When the police learn about the incident, they question Anna about how she found out. Anna says that she knocked on the door and rang the bell repeatedly. Since the light was on in one of the rooms, Anna knew Mara must be home and decided to look through the window.
The windows were frozen, so she breathed on the iced glass, and that’s when she noticed Mara’s body on the floor. The police suspect Anna is the murderer. Why?

The Answer:
Anna could not have possibly gotten a clear view of the room from outside, as both sides of the glass would be frozen, so she could not have seen inside.

I would guess that when ts freezing outside, breathing on the ice wouldnt help much. She probably should have said she tried to scratch it off with like her keys to make her story more believable ;3
Also it might depend if she has a single or double glazed window, but if its really cold outside, the window might get blurry on the inside too, so the officers should probably check juuuuuuuuuust in case :D
