The problem:

Senator Blank and Senator Line met at a club to discuss the overthrow of their party leader. They each ordered a vodka on the rocks. Senator Blank downed his and ordered another. He then drank his second in one gulp and decided to wait before he ordered a third. Meanwhile, Senator Line, who was sipping his drink, suddenly fell forward dead. Both men were setup for an assassination. Why did Senator Line die and Senator Blank live?

The Answer:

Both Senator Blank and Senator Line were given drinks with poisoned ice cubes. Senator Blank drank his drinks so quickly that the ice didn’t have time to melt and release the poison.

Ooo, this one seems interesting!
I think it may be because the poison was in the ice, so since Blank drank it so fast, they didnt melt?
Senator Line waited too long and they melted a bit putting poison in the water.
Unless the second drink senator Blank drank had the remedy, but that makes little sens x)
